This hamster IgG fraction was purified by affinity chromatography from normal Golden Syrian Hamster serum.
Applications Reported: Suitable for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Brilliant Violet™ 480 (BV480) emits at 479 nm and is intended for use on cytometers equipped with a violet (405 nm) laser. Ensure your instrument can detect this fluorochrome.

When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (Super Bright, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Brilliant Violet™ 480 (BV480) is not compatible with methanol-based fixation.

Target Information

Isotype control antibodies help distinguish non-specific background signal from specific antibody signal, as they have no relevant specificity to a target antigen.
They are useful in applications such as:

• Flow cytometry
• Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP)
• Immunohistochemistry
• Gel shift assays

Isotype controls should match the species and isotype of the primary antibody to accurately determine specific staining levels.
When using directly labeled primary antibodies, the isotype control should be conjugated with the same label.
