Product Specific Information

The monoclonal mouse IgG2b kappa is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin for flow cytometric analysis.
This eBMG2b antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood and mouse splenocytes. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Brilliant Violet™ 480 (BV480) emits at 479 nm and is intended for use on cytometers equipped with a violet (405 nm) laser. Ensure instrument compatibility with this fluorochrome.

When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (Super Bright, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Note: BV480 is not compatible with methanol-based fixation.

Target Information

Mouse IgG2b is a subtype of immunoglobulin G antibody produced by B cells in response to antigens. It is the third most abundant IgG subtype in serum and plays a key role in the adaptive immune response.
It is composed of two heavy and two light chains and is involved in opsonization, complement activation, and antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity.
Mouse IgG2b also regulates immune responses, including T cell activation and B cell inhibition.
It is widely used in research and diagnostic applications such as ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry, and in therapeutic research including immunotherapy and vaccine development.
