This antibody recognizes an extracellular epitope of CD193 (chemokine receptor 3), an approximately 41 kDa protein expressed primarily in eosinophils and basophils.
Target Information
CCR3 (C-C chemokine receptor type 3) binds to eotaxin, eotaxin-3, MCP-3, MCP-4, RANTES, and MIP-1 delta. CCR3 transduces a signal by increasing intracellular calcium ion levels and serves as an alternative co-receptor with CD4 for HIV-1 infection. Chemokines play key roles in inflammation and immune cell recruitment. They activate leukocytes via G protein-coupled receptors. Chemokine receptor subtypes are categorized into CXCR and CCR groups.
