Target Information
This gene encodes a protein identified in metastatic mammary adenocarcinoma cell lines. Expression correlates with metastatic potential in several carcinomas but is also present in normal tissues. It may participate in chromatin remodeling and transcription regulation through DNA binding, dimerization, and methylation-related domains. Initially thought to be a 70 kDa component of the NuRD complex, it is now believed to be a distinct but related protein.
