Product Specific Information

  • Reconstitution: Add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
  • For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Glucocorticoid Receptor (NR3C1) is a receptor for glucocorticoids that functions both as a transcription factor and as a regulator of other transcription factors. It is typically located in the cytoplasm and translocates to the nucleus upon ligand binding.
This receptor is expressed in various heart tissues, including atria, ventricles, aorta, and atrioventricular node.
Alternative splicing and promoter usage lead to multiple transcript variants encoding identical or different isoforms.
Mutations in NR3C1 are associated with glucocorticoid resistance. The receptor forms complexes with chaperone proteins for ligand activation and binds steroids such as dexamethasone with nanomolar affinity.
