Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The Lipin family of nuclear proteins includes Lipin-1, Lipin-2, and Lipin-3, all containing a nuclear localization signal, a conserved N-terminal (NLIP) domain, and a C-terminal (CLIP) domain.
LPIN1 (Lipin-1) plays a key role in adipose tissue development and metabolism. It activates fatty acid oxidation and mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation pathways via PPARA, while repressing lipogenesis and reducing circulating lipid levels.
LPIN1 abundance is associated with fat accumulation and insulin sensitivity, whereas deficiency can lead to lipodystrophy, fatty liver, hypertriglyceridemia, and insulin resistance.
