Product Specific Information
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Following antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
A suggested positive control is prostate adenocarcinoma.
Target Information
SLIT2 proteins are ligands for Robo receptors and play a vital role in axonal migration and navigation during neural development.
Several cleavage products through alternate splicing are reported for SLIT2 proteins.
The C-terminal cleavage proteins are more diffusible, while the N-terminal proteins are more tightly cell associated.
SLIT2 expression is observed in tissues such as fetal lung, kidney, and adult spinal cord.
