Product Specific Information

Description:
The 390 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD31 (PECAM-1, gpIIa), a 130–140 kDa surface protein expressed by endothelial cells and at low levels on leukocytes and platelets. CD31 is involved in cell adhesion, signaling, and cell–cell/matrix interactions.

Applications Reported:
Validated for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometry using mouse spleen and bone marrow cells. Recommended ≤0.125 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimize concentration empirically.

Fluorophore Information:
PerCP-eFluor® 710 emits at 710 nm and is excited with the 488 nm blue laser. Recommended filter: 710/50 bandpass (695/40 acceptable). Ensure instrument compatibility.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark using:

• IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49)
• 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54)

Target Information

CD31 (PECAM-1):
CD31 is an inhibitory coreceptor regulating T and B cell signaling through ITIM motifs, providing docking sites for phosphatases upon phosphorylation. Expressed in the vascular system, primarily at endothelial junctions. The N-terminal Ig-like domain mediates homophilic binding, crucial for cell–cell interactions.
