Target Information
TGF beta-1 (TGFB1, Transforming Growth Factor Beta 1)는 cytokine 슈퍼패밀리의 구성원으로, 대부분의 조직에서 발견됩니다. 이 단백질은 세포의 증식, 분화, 부착, 이동을 조절하며, 다양한 성장인자를 양성 또는 음성으로 조절합니다.
TGF beta-1은 전구체로부터 절단되어 latency-associated peptide(LAP)와 mature TGF beta-1 peptide를 형성합니다. 활성형은 TGF beta-1 homodimer로 존재하며, 다른 TGF beta family 단백질과 heterodimer를 형성할 수도 있습니다.
이 유전자는 종양 세포에서 자주 상향 조절되며, 돌연변이는 Camurati-Engelmann disease 및 cystic fibrosis와 관련이 있습니다.
