Target Information
STAT4는 다른 STAT 단백질의 보존된 영역을 인식하는 퇴화 프라이머를 이용해 처음 확인되었습니다. STAT4는 STAT1(52%)과 STAT3(47%)과 가장 유사하며, Jak1 또는 Jak2에 의해 티로신 인산화될 수 있습니다. 인산화된 STAT4는 GAS(IFN-γ activated site)에 결합하며, 세린 인산화 또한 최대 전사 활성에 필요합니다. STAT4의 발현은 흉선, 비장, 고환에 제한적입니다. STAT4는 인터루킨 12(IL-12)에 의해 활성화되며, 이는 IFN-γ 유도 및 Th1 반응 형성에 필수적입니다. STAT4 결핍 생쥐는 Th1 세포 발달이 저하되고 Th2 세포 발달이 증가합니다. 또한 바이러스 감염 시 IFN-α/β에 의한 STAT4 활성화가 IFN-γ 생성에 필요함이 보고되었습니다.
