Target Information
Francisella tularensis는 작은 비운동성 호기성 그람음성 구간균(coccobacillus)입니다. 얇은 지질다당(LPS) 함유 외막을 가지고 있으며, 비포자성으로 저온 환경의 물, 습한 토양, 건초, 짚, 부패한 동물 사체 등에서 수주간 생존할 수 있습니다.
LPS는 F. tularensis의 주요 종 특이적 항원으로, 다른 그람음성균의 LPS와 구조적으로 다릅니다. 특히 LPS의 독성 성분인 lipid A의 비전형적 구조로 인해 고전적 내독소 특성을 나타내지 않습니다.
