Product Specific Information
Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
Desmoglein 3 (Dsg3), also known as Cadherin family member 6 (CDHF6), is a desmosomal cadherin family protein crucial for cell-cell adhesion.
It is predominantly expressed in stratified squamous epithelium such as skin, oral mucosa, and esophagus.
Dsg3 is the autoantigen of pemphigus vulgaris (PV), an autoimmune disease characterized by blister formation due to loss of cell-cell adhesion.
