Target Information
Vimentin은 mesenchymal 기원의 세포에서 발현되는 중간 필라멘트 단백질로, 핵과 세포막 사이의 단백질 수송에 관여합니다.
세포 발달 초기에는 desmin과 함께 발현되며, 이후 조직 특이적 IFP로 대체됩니다.
Vimentin은 스테로이드 합성 속도 조절에도 관여하며, cholesterol 함유 지질 방울의 저장 네트워크로 작용합니다.
Vimentin의 인산화는 중간 필라멘트 붕괴 및 ATP/myosin light chain 의존성 수축 반응을 유도하여 세포골격 변화를 초래하고, cholesterol의 미토콘드리아 이동을 촉진하여 스테로이드 합성을 증가시킵니다.
