Product Specific Information
The MEM-15 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD14, a 53–55 kDa GPI-linked glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, interfollicular macrophages, and some dendritic cells. Complexes of LPS and LBP (LPS-Binding Protein) bind with high affinity to monocytes through surface CD14.
Each product contains:
- 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
- 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer
Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and validated for flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended usage is 5 µL (1.0 µg) per test (final volume 100 µL). Cell count may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.
NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability assessment.
This conjugate ships with CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01), which provides improved formulation for optimal staining.
Add 5 µL per sample to antibody cocktails prior to combining with cells. For single-color controls, use 5 µL per 100 µL cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).
NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology, featuring engineered fluorescent signatures optimized for minimal spillover and spread effects.

Target Information
CD14 is a 55 kDa GPI-anchored glycoprotein expressed on mature monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils. It functions as a lipopolysaccharide receptor and exists both as a membrane-bound and soluble form. CD14 binds LPS via LBP and participates in immune modulation, inflammation, and apoptotic cell recognition.
Dysfunction of CD14 is associated with conditions such as Mycobacterium chelonae infection and croup.
