Prolactin (PRL)은 젖 분비 자극, 염분 및 수분 조절, 성장, 발달, 생식에 관여하는 뇌하수체 호르몬입니다. PRL은 세포막의 Prolactin Receptor(PRLR)에 결합하여 신호 전달을 개시합니다. PRLR은 cytokine receptor family에 속하며, 조직 및 종에 따라 크기가 약 40–100 kDa 범위로 다양합니다. PRLR은 다음 세 가지 주요 도메인을 포함합니다.
