• Reconstitute with 1 mL of distilled water. After reconstitution, store undiluted at 4°C in the dark.
• For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10^6 cells in 100 µL.
• Mouse anti-Human CD55 antibody, clone 67 recognizes the human CD55 cell surface antigen, a GPI-linked molecule also known as decay accelerating factor (DAF).

Target Information

CD55 (decay-accelerating factor, DAF) is a GPI-anchored membrane glycoprotein that protects autologous cells from the classical and alternative complement pathway. It interacts with CD97 in T cell regulation and can modulate complement activation.
In tumors, CD55 promotes neoangiogenesis, tumorigenesis, invasiveness, and evasion of apoptosis. CD55 is a 70 kDa glycoprotein (in erythrocytes) anchored by a glycosylphosphatidylinositol tail, with higher molecular weight and O-glycan content in other cells.
CD55 binds to activated C4b or C3b fragments, preventing assembly and accelerating decay of complement pathways. It carries Cromer-related blood group antigens. Two splice variants exist: one encoding a membrane-bound protein and another producing a soluble form at lower levels. CD55 is implicated in prostate cancer growth and survival.
