Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during various stages of the cell cycle, particularly late G1, S, G2, and M phases.
It associates with euchromatin at the perichromosomal layer, centromeric heterochromatin, and nucleolus through its forkhead-associated (FHA) domain.
Ki-67 shows cell cycle–dependent localization: perinucleolar in G1, nuclear matrix in G2, and chromosomal during M phase.
Because it is absent in G0 cells and increases from G1 through mitosis, Ki-67 serves as a reliable proliferation marker.
In neoplastic tissues, the Ki-67 index correlates strongly with tumor grade and is used to assess cell proliferation.
