Target Information
The VCP protein is an ATP-binding protein involved in vesicle transport, fusion, proteasome function, and peroxisome assembly. It associates with clathrin and heat-shock protein Hsc70 to form a complex, participating in mitosis-regulated cellular events such as homotypic membrane fusion, spindle pole body function, and ubiquitin-dependent protein degradation.
