Target Information
BACE2 (Beta Secretase 2)는 amyloid precursor protein (APP)의 단백질 분해 처리에 관여합니다.
BACE2는 APP를 잔기 690과 691 사이에서 절단하며, 이 절단은 베타 절단된 용해성 APP의 생성을 유도합니다.
또한 BACE2는 APP를 잔기 671과 672 사이에서도 절단할 수 있습니다. APP의 축적은 알츠하이머병과 성인 다운증후군 환자에서 흔히 관찰되는 특징입니다.
