Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
This gene belongs to the subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). hnRNPs are nucleic acid-binding proteins that complex with heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA). They influence pre-mRNA processing, mRNA metabolism, and transport. While most hnRNPs are nuclear, some shuttle between nucleus and cytoplasm. The hnRNP D protein contains two quasi-RRM domains that bind RNA and localizes to both nucleus and cytoplasm. It is implicated in mRNA stability regulation. Alternative splicing results in four transcript variants.
