Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The EWSR1 gene encodes a multifunctional protein involved in gene expression, cell signaling, RNA processing, and transport.
It contains:
- N-terminal transcriptional activation domain
- C-terminal RNA-binding domain
Chromosomal translocations between EWSR1 and transcription factor genes lead to chimeric proteins implicated in tumorigenesis, including Ewing sarcoma, neuroectodermal tumors, and other malignancies.
Alternative splicing produces multiple transcript variants, and pseudogenes are found on chromosomes 1 and 14.
