- Positive Control: Neuro2A, C8D30, NIH-3T3, Raw264.7, C2C12, PC-12, Rat2, 293T (starvation for 16 hr and 0.5 µM Oligomycin treatment for 30 min).

Acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC)는 복합적 다기능 효소 시스템으로, biotin을 포함하며 acetyl-CoA를 malonyl-CoA로 카르복실화하는 반응을 촉매합니다. 이는 지방산 합성의 속도 제한 단계입니다. ACC는 α형과 β형 두 가지 형태로 존재하며, 각각 다른 유전자에 의해 발현됩니다. ACC-α는 지방 합성 조직에서 풍부하게 발현되며, 전사 및 번역 수준의 장기 조절뿐만 아니라 serine 잔기의 인산화/탈인산화 및 citrate 또는 palmitoyl-CoA에 의한 알로스테릭 조절을 통해 단기적으로 조절됩니다. 여러 대체 스플라이싱된 전사 변이체가 존재하며, 서로 다른 isoform을 암호화합니다.
