Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
FOLR2 is a member of the folate receptor (FOLR) family, located in a gene cluster on chromosome 11.
These receptors have high affinity for folic acid and reduced folate derivatives, mediating delivery of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate into cells.
FOLR2 shares 68% and 79% sequence homology with FOLR1 and FOLR3, respectively.
Although initially thought to be placenta-specific, FOLR2 is also expressed in other tissues and may be involved in methotrexate transport in synovial macrophages of rheumatoid arthritis patients.
