Target Information

PD-1 (also known as PDCD1) is a receptor expressed on activated T cells that mediates inhibitory signals upon binding to its ligands, PDL-1 and PDL-2, on antigen-presenting cells. This interaction plays a critical role in downregulating immune responses and maintaining self-tolerance.
PD-1 deficient mice exhibit hyperactive immune systems and autoimmune disorders.
Although the predicted molecular weight of PD-1 is known, it often migrates at a higher molecular weight in SDS-PAGE.
