Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They combine multiple recombinant monoclonal antibodies, offering the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies and the specificity and consistency of monoclonal antibodies.
These antibodies recognize multiple epitopes, providing higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets. Each lot is produced with a known mixture of light and heavy chains, ensuring reproducibility and eliminating biological variability seen in traditional polyclonal antibody production.

Target Information

Transforming Growth Factor (TGF) betas are multifunctional cytokines mediating cell-to-cell interactions during embryonic development.
Three isoforms—TGF beta 1, beta 2, and beta 3—are synthesized as precursors cleaved into active 112 amino acid peptides.
TGF beta influences cell proliferation, differentiation, and other cellular functions across various cell types.
Mesenchymal cells are generally stimulated, while epithelial and neuroectodermal cells are inhibited by TGF beta.
TGF beta 2 is produced by many cell types, found abundantly in porcine platelets and mammalian bone, and is the predominant isoform in body fluids such as amniotic fluid, breast milk, and ocular humors.
