By Western blot, this antibody recognizes bands at approximately 155 kDa and 162 kDa (post-translationally modified form).

Target Information
FANCD2 (Fanconi anemia group D2 protein) is essential for maintaining chromosomal stability. It promotes accurate pairing of homologs during meiosis and plays a critical role in repairing DNA double-stranded breaks via homologous recombination and single-stranded annealing. FANCD2 also facilitates the targeting and stabilization of BLM to non-centromeric abnormal structures under replicative stress and assists BRCA2/FANCD1 loading onto damaged chromatin.
Mutations in the FANCD2 gene cause Fanconi anemia complementation group D2, a disorder affecting all bone marrow elements and resulting in anemia, leukopenia, and thrombopenia.
