Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF‑kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene located on chromosome 11 in humans. NF‑kB p65 (RelA) is part of the Rel protein family and serves as one of the two subunits of NF‑kB, which heterodimerizes with p50 or p52. Upon TNF‑alpha receptor activation, IKK phosphorylates IκB, leading to its proteasomal degradation and subsequent NF‑kB activation. NF‑kB p65 plays a critical role in transcriptional regulation of the immunoglobulin κ gene in mature B‑lymphoid cells.
