Target Information

CLK4 belongs to the CDC2-like protein kinase (CLK) family. This kinase interacts with and phosphorylates serine- and arginine-rich proteins involved in spliceosome formation, contributing to alternative splicing regulation.
Studies in the Israeli sand rat (Psammomys obesus) suggest that ubiquitin-like 5, a conserved ubiquitin-like protein, may interact with and regulate CLK4 activity.
