Product Specific Information

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Target Information

PSCA (Prostate Stem Cell Antigen) is a cell surface antigen overexpressed in approximately 40% of primary prostate cancers and up to 100% of metastatic cases. It is also overexpressed in many transitional cell and pancreatic carcinomas. Antibodies against PSCA have been shown to inhibit tumorigenesis, slow tumor growth, prolong survival, and prevent metastasis in preclinical xenograft models, suggesting PSCA may serve as a prognostic marker or therapeutic target in prostate cancer.
