Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
The four known 15–19 kDa INK4 proteins (p15INK4b, p16INK4a, p18INK4c, and p19INK4d) bind and inhibit CDK4 and CDK6 but not other CDKs, including cyclin E-Cdk2, cyclin A-Cdk2, and cyclin B-Cdk1. Like the three D-type cyclins, the INK4 genes are expressed in distinct tissue-specific patterns, suggesting that they are not strictly redundant. p18INK4c is expressed during G1 to S transition in the eukaryotic cell division cycle and is maximally induced as cells enter S-phase.
