PA1-10001 was made against a recombinant fusion protein of E. coli TrpE fused to the C-terminus of rat NF-M, amino acids 677–845.

Target Information

Neurofilaments (NFs) are intermediate filaments expressed almost exclusively in neuronal cells, most prominently in large axons. They consist of three polypeptide chains—NF-M, NF-H, and NF-L—that share structural similarity but differ in terminal sequences. NF-M’s phosphorylated tail domain mediates filament interactions critical for axonal architecture. NF-M phosphorylation and O-GlcNAcylation are reciprocally regulated, influencing filament formation and function. Antibodies against NF subunits serve as stable, neuron-specific markers useful for neurobiological research.
