Target Information
The nuclear pore complex is a large structure spanning the nuclear envelope, regulating macromolecule transport between the nucleus and cytoplasm.
Nucleoporins are key components of this complex.
The NUP50 protein is an FG-repeat–containing nucleoporin functioning as a soluble cofactor in importin‑α:β–mediated nuclear protein import.
Pseudogenes are found on chromosomes 5, 6, and 14, and two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
