Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of FANCD2 only when phosphorylated at Serine 222.
Target Information
FANCD2 (Fanconi anemia group D2 protein) is essential for maintaining chromosomal stability and promotes accurate pairing of homologs during meiosis. It participates in DNA double-strand break repair through homologous recombination and single-stranded annealing. FANCD2 stabilizes BLM under replicative stress and facilitates BRCA2/FANCD1 loading onto damaged chromatin. Mutations in FANCD2 cause Fanconi anemia complementation group D2, leading to bone marrow failure and cytopenia.
