Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is structurally similar to CDC46 from S. cerevisiae, which is involved in the initiation of DNA replication. It is a member of the MCM family of chromatin-binding proteins and interacts with other family members. The protein is upregulated during the G0 to G1/S phase transition and may play a role in cell cycle regulation.
