Target Information
The YARS2 gene encodes a mitochondrial enzyme responsible for catalyzing the attachment of tyrosine to tRNA(Tyr). Mutations in this gene are associated with myopathy with lactic acidosis and sideroblastic anemia type 2 (MLASA2).
