Glia maturation factor gamma (GMFG) is a cytokine-responsive protein involved in erythropoietin-induced and granulocyte-colony stimulating factor-induced hematopoietic lineage development. It may play roles in glial differentiation, neural regeneration, and inhibition of tumor cell proliferation.
