Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages include:

  • Improved specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulations
  • Broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to the larger rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) is a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase belonging to the SRC-related TEC subfamily. Mutations in the BTK gene are linked to severe developmental blocks in human B-cell ontogeny and immunodeficiency disorders.
BTK interacts with members of the toll-like receptor (TLR) family such as TLR4, 6, 8, and 9, which are critical in innate and adaptive immunity. It also interacts with key proteins in TLR4 signal transduction, including MyD88, TIRAP, and IRAK, but not TRAF-6, suggesting a role in lipopolysaccharide signal transduction.
