Product Specific Information
Description:
The 6H6 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD123, the alpha chain of the IL-3 receptor (60–70 kDa transmembrane protein). CD123 binds IL-3 with low affinity by itself and with high affinity when associated with CD131 (common beta chain). It is expressed by myeloid precursors, macrophages, dendritic cells, mast cells, basophils, and megakaryocytes.

Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended ≤0.25 µg per test (defined as antibody amount for 100 µL final volume). Cell number should be empirically determined (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Antibody titration is recommended for optimal performance.
Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
IL-3Ra (Interleukin-3 receptor subunit alpha):
Member of the type I cytokine receptor family, forming a heterodimer with the common beta (CDw131) subunit. Responsible for IL-3 signal transduction. IL-3Ra and IL-3Rb heterodimerization is induced by IL-3 and required for receptor activation. IL-3Ra is often overexpressed on acute myeloid leukemia (AML) blasts compared with normal hematopoietic cells, making it a potential therapeutic target.
