Product Specific Information
The 1C1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD131, also known as the common beta subunit (βC).
This subunit associates with alpha subunits of IL-3, IL-5, and GM-CSF receptors to form high-affinity cytokine receptors.
These receptors are expressed on neutrophils, eosinophils, monocytes, endothelial cells, fibroblasts, and hematopoietic progenitor cells, playing a crucial role in eosinophil activation and inflammatory response.
Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on normal human peripheral blood cells at ≤ 0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume).
Cell number may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test and should be optimized per assay.
Target Information
The encoded protein is the common beta chain of the high-affinity receptor for IL-3, IL-5, and CSF.
Defects in this gene are associated with pulmonary alveolar proteinosis (PAP).
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
