Target Information
PTP1B (PTPN1) is a tyrosine-protein phosphatase that regulates the endoplasmic reticulum unfolded protein response. It mediates dephosphorylation of EIF2AK3/PERK, inactivating its kinase activity.
PTP1B also participates in CKII- and p60c-src-induced signaling cascades, regulates EFNA5-EPHA3 signaling for cell reorganization and repulsion, and modulates hepatocyte growth factor receptor signaling by dephosphorylating MET.
