• Reconstitution:
  Reconstitute with 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
  The antibody is shipped lyophilized at room temperature.
  Upon arrival, store at −20°C.
  Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week.
  For long-term storage, aliquot and store at −20°C.
  Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
  Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

NUCB2 (Nucleobindin-2) is a calcium-binding protein containing an EF-hand motif that interacts with Necdin, a growth suppressor expressed mainly in postmitotic neurons.
NUCB2 is secreted and cleaved into three peptides: Nesfatin-1, Nesfatin-2, and Nesfatin-3.
Nesfatin-1 has been shown to suppress food intake independently of leptin.
NUCB2/Nesfatin-1 is also implicated in energy homeostasis and neuroendocrine regulation.
