Product Specific Information

Description:
Monoclonal antibody HP-F1 recognizes CD85j, also known as ILT2, LILRB1, and LIR1. CD85j is a transmembrane glycoprotein with four ITIMs that signal through SHP-1. It is expressed on myeloid cells (monocytes, dendritic cells) and subsets of NK, T, and B cells. Expression correlates with leukemias (ALL, CLL) and plays roles in viral infections such as HIV, Epstein-Barr, and CMV. Ligands include MHC Class I molecules (HLA-G, A, F, B27, E, F).

HP-F1 has been shown to reduce CD16-dependent cytolytic activity of NK cells.

Applications Reported:
Flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometry of normal human peripheral blood cells. Use at 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test in 100 µL final volume (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
Excitation: 488 nm; Emission: 520 nm; Laser: Blue Laser.


Target Information

This gene belongs to the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor (LIR) family located on chromosome 19q13.4. The encoded protein has extracellular Ig domains, a transmembrane domain, and cytoplasmic ITIMs. It binds MHC class I molecules on antigen-presenting cells and transduces inhibitory signals to regulate immune responses, inflammation, and cytotoxicity. Multiple transcript variants exist.
