Target Information
SIRT3는 효모 Sir2 단백질과 상동성을 가지는 sirtuin 단백질 패밀리의 구성원입니다. 이 단백질들은 sirtuin core domain을 가지며, 네 가지 클래스 중 하나로 분류됩니다. 사람의 sirtuin 기능은 완전히 규명되지 않았지만, 효모 sirtuin은 유전자 발현의 후성적 조절과 rDNA 재조합 억제에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 연구 결과, 인간 SIRT3는 mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase 활성을 가진 세포 내 조절 단백질로 작용할 가능성이 제시되고 있습니다. SIRT3는 sirtuin 패밀리의 class I에 속합니다.
