Target Information
MUC1 (Mucin 1, Episialin, MAM-6, CA 15-3, PEM, EMA)은 대부분의 선상 및 관상 상피세포와 일부 조혈세포 계통에서 발현되는 대형 세포막 점액당단백질입니다.
MUC1은 막관통형 글리코프로테인으로, 다수의 O-결합형 당쇄가 포함된 점액형 외부 도메인을 가지며, 다양한 반복 서열(30–90회)에 따라 분자량이 달라집니다.
MUC1은 대부분의 분비성 상피조직 및 90% 이상의 유방암과 전이 조직에서 풍부하게 발현됩니다.
또한 MUC1은 모든 erbB 수용체와 결합하며, EGFR(erbB1)과 공위치하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
MUC1 유전자는 7개의 엑손을 가지며, 다양한 스플라이싱 변이체를 생성합니다. 과발현, 비정상적 세포 내 위치, 당화 변화 등은 암과 관련이 있습니다.
