Target Information
TIMP-1과 TIMP-2는 matrix metalloproteinase(MMP) 계열의 억제 효소로, 결합조직의 구조적 안정성을 유지하는 데 중요한 역할을 합니다.
TIMP-2는 72 kDa Type IV collagenase (MMP-2, gelatinase A)의 잠재형(pro) 및 활성형 모두에 높은 결합 친화성을 가지며, 92 kDa Type IV collagenase (MMP-9, gelatinase B)의 활성형에도 결합합니다.
또한 TIMP-2는 종양세포 및 정상 태반 trophoblast 세포의 단백질 분해성 침습성을 억제하는 기능을 가집니다.
