This YKIX334.2 monoclonal antibody reacts with canine major histocompatibility complex (MHC) Class II.
MHC plays a key role in immunity by presenting self and non-self antigens to T cells. In dogs, MHC Class II is expressed on T and B cells, macrophages, fibroblasts, and kidney interstitial cells.

This antibody inhibits mixed lymphocyte reactions and T cell activation induced by MHC Class II antigen presentation in vitro. Recognition of MHC Class II by YKIX334.2 is not allele-specific.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for flow cytometric analysis of normal canine peripheral blood cells.
Use at 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test (defined as staining a cell sample in 100 µL final volume).
Cell number can range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information

MHC Class II molecules are transmembrane glycoproteins expressed on professional antigen-presenting cells such as macrophages, dendritic cells, and B cells.
They bind endocytosed exogenous antigens and present them to T cells. The antigen-binding groove between MHC Class II alpha and beta chains is open at both ends and accommodates peptides 15–24 amino acids long.

HLA and MHC antibodies are essential tools in Immunopeptidomics, enabling identification and characterization of neoantigens via high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry.
