Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of RAD23A only when phosphorylated at Ser357.
Target Information
The RAD23A gene encodes a small iron-sulfur protein that transfers electrons from NADPH through ferredoxin reductase to a terminal cytochrome P450. This oxidation/reduction system is found in steroidogenic tissues and is involved in the synthesis of bile acid and vitamin D. The expressed gene is located at chromosomal locus 11q22, with pseudogenes on chromosomes 20 and 21. The gene product has been identified in multiple tissues, showing identical forms that are not tissue-specific.
