Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).
Target Information
Folate is an essential vitamin obtained through intestinal absorption in mammals. Folate and its derivatives bind to the folate receptor (FR) family, mediating endocytosis of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate into cells.
The FR family includes five members: alpha, beta, gamma, gamma′ (alternative splicing variant), and delta.
- β-FR: Membrane-bound via GPI anchor; expressed in malignant epithelial and non-epithelial tissues.
- γ-FR: Found in hematopoietic tissues such as spleen, thymus, and bone marrow.
- δ-FR: Expression pattern is highly restricted.
- α-FR: Used as a selective tumor marker and can deliver therapeutic compounds to tumor cells via folic acid derivatives.
