Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human VAP-1. Anti-Human VAP-1-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human VAP-1 matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human VAP-1 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Rabbit Anti-Human VAP-1 (500-P326BT) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 2000–4000 pg/mL of Recombinant Human VAP-1.

Western Blot:
To detect Human VAP-1 by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. When used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human VAP-1 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Copper amine oxidases catalyze the oxidative conversion of amines to aldehydes in the presence of copper and quinone cofactor. The product is a major protein on the adipocyte plasma membrane, with adhesive properties and functional monoamine oxidase activity. A pseudogene for this gene is located approximately 9-kb downstream.
