Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human sIL-4 Receptor alpha. Anti-Human sIL-4 Receptor alpha-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human sIL-4 Receptor alpha by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human sIL-4 Receptor alpha (500-P325) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 2000–4000 pg/mL of Recombinant Human sIL-4 Receptor alpha.

Western Blot:
To detect Human sIL-4 Receptor alpha by Western Blot, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. When used with compatible development reagents, detection limit is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

IL4 Receptor alpha (IL4RA) is the alpha chain of the interleukin 4 receptor that binds to both interleukin 4 and interleukin 13, regulating IgE production, chemokine, and mucus production at allergic inflammation sites. The IL4 response promotes Th2 differentiation. The secreted extracellular domain (sIL4R alpha) inhibits IL4-mediated cell proliferation and IL5 upregulation by T-cells and lacks signaling abilities. Allelic variations in IL4RA are associated with atopy, which may manifest as allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, asthma, or eczema.
